I wrote this app for windows 8.0 over 4 years ago and ported it to windows 10 over a few blog posts around a year ago. the app sits on top of the zxing library for barcode/qrcode scanning and as part of the work that i did here i moved the code to sit on top of the nuget package zxing.net .. This one is an interesting read: mobile barcode scanning with zxing.net this one provided me with the core of what i needed: windows 8 – 8.1 qr code reader – definitive guide but used the class softwarebitmapluminancesource from zxing.net.mobile .. I'm deploying to windows 10 uwp using xamarin and when i've been testing the zxing platform. i've however run into issues when the phone is in portrait mode. it doesn't seem to scan the barcode or takes an extremely long time to do so..
